Stowe Today

This storm was one of the more impressive elevation dependent storms in that
the snow level became pretty low, but was still stuck even at 400-500ft.
Nothing in Burlington proper, an inch in Williston at the rest area on I-89,
coating in Richmond, little more substantial with I-89 slushy/snow covered
this morning before the Waterbury exit, less by Shaws, more by the Stowe
high school, then substantially more at the Toll Road...plows were out from
Darkside snowboards on up.

Between 10am and noon, it was snowing heavily and the wind was roaring over
the tree tops. There was 4" at the Midway lodge at 1pm and my car said 28F.
Skinned up Nosedive into the gale and encountered quite a few sizable
drifts in the lee of waterbars. Skinning became more difficult between
2,000-2,500ft on Nosedive with a wind roaring in from the side and snow
depth ranging from 2-18".

Only made one run, meeting up with Jimmy Clapp at the racing shack on upper
Nosedive. We skied down and it was good, real good. I'll let Jim tell you
about his journeys on Mansfield today.

My camera was broken so I had to borrow one at the mountain, but here are a
few shots from Nosedive, around 3pm today...it was still lightly snowing.
