Good stuff rog!

I feel like i've seen you before with that bike... the 29er and pink fork rings a bell... maybe Kingdom Trails? Or around Stowe?

We just did a 12hr race. Our team was made up of singlespeed bikes. 2 of them fully rigid 29er. The other 2 had front sus and 26in wheels. We almost placed 3rd... but it was funny keeping up with the fastest "racers" with shaved legs and lycra! Sure they were beating us on the doubletrack... but once you get into tight singletrack, it's all about the pilot! Screw those gears and techy stuff! That being said, i was gladdly going back to my full squisshy the next day!

Our setup for the day:

ya, that pink fork and i've spent a bit of time ridin around stowe/richmond and kt when i used own a home at burke, don't ride there these days (burke that is) as there are so many better options around. where was that 12 hour and nice job? les and i will be racing the millstone grind this weekend weather depending and then we'll be defending our title from last year at the 12 hours of bradbury in the 2 person coed catagory. we raced our rigid 29ers in singlespeed mode last year and will be doin the 8 speed thing this year. having raced single speeds for so many years it's nice to grab gear again. surfing was great this morning, isn't life just too much fun?
gotta tune another bike now

well, at least it wasn't an 8 hour work day. what could be better than spending the day doin somethin ya love and gettin a good workout to boot! did it hurt sometimes? sure. did i wanna quit a couple of times? you betcha. but crossing that finish line and immediately pounding a fosters bitter, (my recovery drink of choice-screw that sporty recovery crap) felt sooo good. one things fer sure, this sunday in no vt is gonna hurt, i can just feel it :P

I agreee! We had beer between laps at our 12H race 10min south of Montreal last weekend... My only mistake was a beer and 2 hot-dogs less then an hour before i had to get back on the course! Stomach hates me when i do that!

The course at Millstone should be fun... unfortunately, no biking for me this w-e... Bike show in town...

If you see crazy frenchy (or Dan001) riding a fixed-29er with rigid fork kick him! lol! No, i know he'll be there... Brooke from the fellowship... JD from AlpZone also...

Enjoy!
