I looked for this in admin's Ski News but did not find it.

I'll bet Patrick will be even more surprised than I to see the 402,000 total, only 10% down from last year's record. And also going from a 130% snow season to a 70% snow season. Could be the old maxim, "There's no such thing as bad publicity." Perhaps the tram controversy put JHMR more in the public eye and a few more people decided to go there. It still doesn't make much sense to me.
 
I'm stunned by this as well. I never would have guessed that less snow and no tram would have resulted in more skier visits this season. I suppose that Tony is right, no such thing as bad publicity...
