I've taken the liberty of slightly editing jackd's post that started this thread. We try to keep things rather family-friendly around here. Now, I'm hardly a prude -- folks who know me will tell you quite the opposite -- and things occasionally get a little off-color around here, my own posts included. I try to stay very hands-off in editing things unless they're way over the top. Folks, think of it this way: if you wouldn't use a term in front of your own 10-year-old kid, please don't use it here. (And I've inadvertantly taught my son a few words that I probably shouldn't have.) LOL for the #10 that have been changed to be less explicit ! <BR> <BR>But somehow I agree with what was the xxxxx before. <BR> <BR>I would add about Corbet's Couloir : with 2 feet of powder for the 20' high drop off top. <BR> <BR>For night skiing without lights, this is really cool, I can tell you that. I'm used to ski in the woods and on closed trails, during night and it's something incredible. Doing a rocky glade closed in the night, alone, without cell phone, is my kind of experience (hello the Ski Patrol readers !!!), Groomed trails are also interesting, but you must be careful, as you're less concentrated when the trail looks easy. In the woods, of course, you must be careful for the branches of the trees that are often hidden. (especially when you're enough shortsighted, like me until last year when I finally got contact lenses. I did hundredS of runs with only the moonlight at Mt Avila in the past. 75% of them in the same off-piste. <BR> <BR>Unfortunately for the wife or girlfriend that can kick your ass on the slopes, this is something really rare and I don't expect to find a girl like that <IMG SRC="http://www.firsttracksonline.com/discus2/clipart/sad.gif" ALT="

I also agree with Marc. <BR>If internet existed when I was 10 years old, it's sure I would be reading some ski websites (surely just in french, though). And I don't think my parents would have been really if I would see some expressions like that. <BR> <BR>Anyway, this #10 was in the 36 questions (or so) in the kind of "have you ever..." to determinate how we were skimaniacs. <BR> <BR>I should traduce this article one day...
