Thanks for all you do.

I believe he's overnighting for a few days atop Mansfield, so his access here is likely limited to non-existent.

It appears I was mis-informed.

I've been skiing so much lately, that weather has been put on the back-burner as I thought these were the only great days of the season we'd get. But now it looks like more snow than sleet/freezing rain...my original thought was 4-8" net gain with some mixed precip is now moving towards 8-12" with locally higher amounts in the north, 5-8" at SB and MRG and Killington, and 3-5" with significant glaze in southern VT, Berkshires, Catskills, and surrounding terrain of southern New England and the Capital District area...with little/no mixing north of I-89, sleet between 89 and Killington, freezing rain south of there.

Scott,

May your dendrites be long and articulated.

Thanks man - rip it up.

Great , I will be easy to spot as got hit with a puck smack in the mouth last night in a outdoor hockey game , end result 5 stiches but no broken teeth . So look for guy with 3 kids and a stiched up mouth . On another note have to have the stiches removed by Wednesday . Anybody know any clinics in Waitsfield VT. Have to be careful not to hit any branches next week but it will take more than this to keep me out of the game.

I'm actually off work today...I called in sick. :D

I'm actually sick and just woke up from my 5 hour nap.

I was out skiing the last two nights, I was a bit sick last night (that didn't help).

The worst part is that some people at work aren't going to believe me that I didn't go skiing today.

Snowing hard in Ottawa, we had sleet this morning (7-8am), but it switched back to snow. Expanded accumulated is around 6 inches.

Gore is reporting 10" and still snowing.

My friend on ski patrol said it was raining this morning on top of the mountain. I don't suspect a little rain will be a problem.

If it continues to snow, even just a little, I think the rain will hardly be noticeable.

Leaving in a coupla hours.

I'm flying solo this week...wife and kids are home for NYS standardized achievement tests next week.

Look out for the guy with a black helmet, yellow jacket, black pants. Fischer RX8's on my feet along with Garmont Adrenalins.

Gore was killer this weekend. The glades were great. The snow quality was really good - B+ I'd say. It did get a bit manky in the late afternoon on Sat on some aspects. But then it snowed last night at all day today (Sun).

I watched the radar all day Friday at work - it was green, with bands of yellow and red, almost to Canada. I've never seen it like that and found snow at the end of the rainbow. (I've seen the pink actually be snow, but not GREEN at Whiteface and snow at Gore.)

The weekend was fantastic, I can only IMAGINE how great it was farther north, Whiteface, Stowe, Jay Peak - must have been incredible. I'm actually headed up the Whiteface tomorrow am for the first time. Should be great.

Now in Burlington as local hotels have Canadian specials , next 4 days will be at MRG . The snow in Burlington looks good(just over 2 ' in the Champlain Valley ) so I imagine it is going to be great up on Stark Mountain . Cold weather returning with snow squalls  Can't ask for more . Won't be able to write a ski report until I return as using the hotel system .
James ,
Thanks for the tip on the medical clinic , will have to have my stiches removed on Wednesday .

Out of curiosity, are those normal Canadian deals or is something special happening this week? I noticed an unusually high percentage of Quebecois today at Jay. I was wondering if this a vacation week for our Canadian friends?
