REGION TONIGHT THROUGH TOMORROW...BRINGING WIDESPREAD SNOWFALL TO
THE WESTERN TWO THIRDS OF UTAH. THIS SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED TO BE
HEAVY AT TIMES DURING THE DAY TONIGHT AND TOMORROW...AND WILL
LIKELY HAVE A SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON HOLIDAY TRAVELERS. SNOWFALL IS

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY HAS ISSUED A
WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW...WHICH IS IN
EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING TO 4 PM MST MONDAY. THE WINTER
STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.
* AFFECTED AREA: THE MOUNTAINS OF UTAH.
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: NEW SNOWFALL OF ONE TO TWO FEET IS EXPECTED
BY MONDAY AFTERNOON...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER TOTALS POSSIBLE ALONG
NORTHWEST FACING SLOPES.
* TIMING: SNOW IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ACROSS THE HIGHER TERRAIN
SATURDAY NIGHT...AND BECOME HEAVY DURING THE DAY SUNDAY
BEFORE TAPERING OFF MONDAY.
* WINDS: NORTHWEST WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS WILL
BE POSSIBLE DURING THE DAY SUNDAY...WHICH MAY RESULT IN
BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF NEW SNOW.
* IMPACTS: SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED TO HAVE A SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON
TRAVEL LATE SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY ACROSS THE HIGHER
TERRAIN OF UTAH...INCLUDING I-80 THROUGH THE WASATCH RANGE.
