Uhhhh, by Laurentians, do you only think of the region of the same name, just north of Montreal or you also talk of Quebec/Charlevoix regions ?

Conditions this weekend, I'm not very positive about them, sorry. About a inch of snow fell today, according to the reports, but it's the first inch for a lot of time... (in the laurentians) and the conditions should be better in the Massif area, but it's quite farther from New England.

Around Montreal, the only big mountain of the Laurentians is Tremblant. There is 3 "900 to 1000 footers" (Val Saint-Côme, Garceau and la Réserve) and there is a bunch of little ski areas of 700' and less. The townships could be a better choice this weekend with some snow in view tonight and some greater verticals.

If you still want to go in the Laurentians, my recommandations :

- Steepness : Val Saint-Côme (Saint-Côme)
- Extreme skiing : Ski La Réserve (Saint-Donat) and Val St-Côme as #2.
- Backcountry : La Réserve (conditions risk to be quite bad though in BC)
- Off-piste (inbound) : Alta (Val-David / Ste-Agathe)
- Groomers : Val Saint-Côme
- South facing (in case of sun) : Val Saint-Côme ; Garceau (St-Donat)
- Distance : MSS (Saint-Sauveur)
- Night Skiing : MSS

I'm going to be in the Laurentians this weekend. Tomorrow, I may try the most little ski area in the region, before my firm's party and sunday, I may head farther... something like Val Saint-Côme, Garceau or la Réserve.
