Very similar. Though it’s worth noting that as the only major resort in the region, Whistler regularly sees visitors from the Seattle metro area too.

It would be quite a feat if Vail managed to have a net decline in skier visits since taking over Whistler, especially considering the population growth in the Seattle-Vancouver corridor over the same period. If they did, experiences like Larry’s could be a good reason why skiers are choosing to go elsewhere.
