I didn't go, but Pam sent me a photo

We got some nice lake effect snow here in Central NY and ventured out to a nearby state forest that sits at about 2000' where the snow piles up.

This is my snow-lovin dog

Happy feet buried in fluff

Conditions were excellent here. At Whiteface they were skiing hard man-made snow. A different world.

That rain event earlier in January must have killed whiteface. They reported 17 inches since, but my guess is that it was too light to attached to the bombproof base. When I was there earlier in the month that was completely covered. BTW that is the lift line under the new lookout mountain lift.
