Will Mammoth bother to open in October 2025?

Mammoth postponed their originally scheduled Friday 11/14 opening due to warm and windy storm hitting hard that day. According to Snowbrains "Mammoth will officially open for the 2025-26 season on Thursday, November 20."

Mammoth website confirms the Thursday opening. Main Lodge storm total reached 20 inches and they claim to be making snow though the cams midday do not show that.

Despite the first ever since snowmaking delayed opening, this one rates to be more promising than in the WROD only drought seasons of 2011-12 and 2013-14. It's not yet enough for me to consider though.

And Mammoth? :(
I usually find Mammoth Snowman informative, and today is no exception. These reports are not archived AFAIK, so it may update tomorrow with the opening. It looks somewhat better than I expected. Cornice will be open and groomed. It will take only a little more snowmaking and grooming to open the race course runs and Stump Alley. Chair 2 will operate with only Mambo skiable back to it for now. Chair 3 and Saddle Bowl will be open but I would not expect Face of 3 yet.

Chair 23 will also be running. I may not make it until 12/1 or 12/2 and not sure if anywhere at Tahoe will be worth stopping at on the way.

The first person they asked when they got there on Mammoth's Instagram page for opening said 7 AM yesterday.

Surprised Kirkwood is not reporting snow, but maybe it's because they are not scheduled to open until Dec. 5.

I-80, US-50 and CA-88 all had chain control this AM. South Lake Tahoe and Truckee both reported 32F and snow. If it had been cold enough in the Sierra for the 1" of rain that fell here a week ago to be snow in the Sierra, they would be in a lot better shape. We also had about a 1/2" each day on Sat, Sun and Mon and another 1/3" last night. We did not turn on our heater until less than a week ago and my weather station said it was 37 yesterday morning. I went mountain biking yesterday not wearing shorts (I wore fitted sweatpants) for first time in years.

Mammoth Snowman reported opening day. Stump Alley opened. Bottom of chairs 1&2 are thin but should get built up with snowmaking very soon. Face of 3 opened with about a 3 foot base. The top did not open probably due to wind.

The ski area website says 54 trails, but that's mistaken at least for some on Chairs 12&14 which I know are not open. 4 inches new at Main Lodge, as yesterday's storm was not as strong as in SoCal and Arizona.
