You can help too

Yesterday while I was driving to the ski slopes, I was listening to NPR and suddenly became distraught over the unimaginable widespread suffering and loss happening in the areas of Asia affected by the Tsunami.

Just as Mother Nature provides us with blessed snow for us to enjoy as we do, she also causes devastation. I began to feel guilty (and most fortunate) for having such a wonderful, healthy and hedonistic life while so many people are suffering.

I just can't sit back and do nothing, so, what I am doing is donating 2 day's worth of lift tickets (full price) to relief organizations

It would be a great thing if every skier did that (and more if possible). I also plan to donate blood and give all my old clothes to the Red Cross.

Make your donations by the end of the week for a tax deduction.

We did... 2-3 lift tickets in about right!!!

For Canadian tax deduction, donations for the disaster can be made until January 10th and still be claim for 2004. This is, of course, an exception made for the disaster.
