I was reading some scary research on global warming. Obviously for selfish reasons, I want lots of snow. Apparently, we can expect much shorter ski/snowboard seasons in the near future...especially lower elevation regions.

I would run screaming from Gore. They just don't get enough snow and the crowds are a killer. There are mountains that get more snow and less crowds.

Are Kicking Horse, Lake Louise and Sunshine near each other????? Might be a future trip! The thoughts on higher snowfall totals is a big reason i have been to the Cottonwoods, and the Ogden area of Utah. Most of the time, I have gotten good snow and at least found it out of bounds. I have not...

Looks amazing. For a trip, one problem I have is the lack of snow. I tend to look for resorts of mountains that receive 400-500" a year in frequent dumps. Are there any in this are that get that much snow?
