BobbyD and i had an absolutely GLORIOUS Keyhole.....softest ive ever skied that run....amazing. Few runs over at the bird after lunch and back to that "secret" chute to end the day. All in all it was a great reported "alta 4inches". :D M

I might remember that Race hill run for the rest of the season...NEVER have i gotten that even close to what i got it at yesterday...AMAZING!!!! M

I think the real point Admin is making here is that we'll finally see a full pattern shift in the west in general. This should allow us to get our "normal" flow of storms off the pacific. Im sure the AUTO GROOMER has been working its magic on most spots at Alta/Bird.....As long as its still chaulk im sure its skiing great. Break in the pattern of weather next week...lets hope it sticks....Mmmmmmm pow. M

BLOW SAM...lol Yeah we been out.....saw the castle open on Sunday just decided against it. Spent most of our time at the bird which skied excellent. Im a skier...i ski, people who dont really "ski" complain about conditions. M

Alta/Bird have been skiing quite spectacularly lately despite the low snowfall totals. Pretty much everything at each resort is open. Have to watch out for those pesky rocks, but all in all the skiing is still great. I think one of the main reasons you didnt see the normal devils castle line...

Once the resorts open...for the most part i am carrying all requisite avie equipment. If there hasnt been snow for a week or more you might find my out "going light" and leaving the pack, etc in the car. I say if you got it, bring it and wear it...you might not get buried, but you could very...

He's worried mineral wont be open at all...and the access from the top of baldy express into alta could hardy be called a traverse. You might be thinking of the armpit gate (traverses to the tombstone area at alta) below the baldy chutes hike. That would be a traverse, but like mentioned hardly...
