Big Jay :: Man arrested for cutting down trees on state land

Like i said on ZoneSki, i've known him for years... like the hundreds of locals at the mountain... I never approved of his work... He did the atrocious line of the pump house a couple years back... I don't ride that line anymore cause it's always full of stumps sticking out and no longer fun...

    Jay Peak, VT: 04/06/07

We went to Jay Peak also yesterday... Started off the bonny just a tad before 9AM. My group went for Deliverance and i decided to head down CanAm... You can't beat the feeling of CanAm on a good day... Wide open with plenty of snow... Wow! The snow was really light compare to the stuff we got...

    Garceau , Quebec

Mont-Garceau is must in the spring... It's a classic! I've actually never skied there in winter condition... I use to go up there to a friend's house back in high school... They hosted the snowboarding provincial circuit finals back in 95 i believe... In practice i broke my board (i was 16 so i...

Round Top (Sutton, Qc) -- 03/20/07

What a day! I've been sitting at home for the past 2 months watching snow storms coming in and leaving blankets of white all over the mountains. I was out since February after getting surgery on my right shoulder and only had permission to snowshoe on gentle slopes and small mountains...

Anyone ski Jay since the weekend?

Yep! It sure did... But the wind really packed things down on North facing slopes. The stuff in the woods that's left is a lot of fun on a board... but a lot harder to ski. There is still some great stuff to ride in the backcountry. The mountain has packed powder everywhere... with a bit of...

Jay Backcountry - not the question you might expect

LOL! The JPG of Gilpin has been in my computer for a while... I've never connected the dots! Small world sometimes! Gilpin is fun... but there is other options in the area that are further away from the road... so there is way less traffic!

Jay Backcountry - not the question you might expect

Ok, i could go into details but my guess is that you won't get many answers... but many hits... Domey's Dome is pretty far... but it's a lot of fun... I've made a trip there in January and was bashed by some angry locals... Gilpin is good but it's pretty "rocky" so you need a good base in order...

Wow! What a report! Google Map, elevation, great pics... Hmmm... Ok, here's the next step for you: Live 3D google earth rendering... That could be sweet... But how do you put a vector (like the one in Illustrator) into Google Earth... I don't know! I can put the GPS data... but they always...
