This was the best snow in the early season i've seen in my life! I rode on Oct 10th in 18in of snow at Jay maybe 5 years ago... I rode in St-Sauveur on man made snow in late October also... But never was it this good!
Coverage is perfect all over the mountain... I even hiked up the face... can you imagine how sweet it was after climbing to the bottom of the face... lookin down at fresh OCTOBER powder!
We made a video, right now it's 32meg... I'll reduce it a bit and post it here... it's on Zoneski.com somewhere if you really want it...
Get out there while there is snow because it is really worth it!
We climbed on the Jet, rode down the Montrealer and Northway. Climbed on the Northway to the bottom of the face rocks, then made our way to Can-Am and Lift Line. The ride was amazing... I'll have lots of pictures to come tomorrow...
Report:
Jay Peak were calling for 32in of snow in one week... but only 15 min away from there, we were wondering if it was true!
BROMONT:
Suttton
North Troy
Everything changed once we started climbing the 242.
There were 4 of us, Mathieu and Julien are from Zoneski.com and Guillaume and me (taking the pic) are from VeloEpic.org.
Splendid view from the Jet Triple summit!
Of course, we had to publicize that we were there!
Big Powder turn:
We found a big booter coming from the Green Beret:
By the way, there was a lot of snow!
Bluebird skies... different for Jay!
This is kind of a "Where's Waldo" pic... I was climbing the face in 3-4feet of loose powder... even with the snowshoes it was hard! But it was heavenly going down in virgin powder!
Now, on top of Can-Am where the snow was really promissing:
Carving in deep snow and dead leaves...

By far the best season's opener!
