I know that skiing the Dip may as well be on the trail map these days, but it is getting rediculous there on weekends. I saw some idiot not control their speed at the bottom, skip over the bank on the roadside and land in the road, thankfully the on coming car was driving slow enough and a disaster was avoided. I had a kid come up to my car saying that they had ''followed'' tracks down and ended up there, they wanted a ride, sorry I was full. I have walked bck plenty of times, it is good exercise. My friends and I make sure that we always have cars down there. Although I don't consider it backcountry skiing, people still need to prepare themselves, like leave a car. 242 was littered with people walking back to the resort today, it was even tough to drive around them. People also drive way to fast through there, I bet some people blow through there at 60+. There was also some idiot from NJ in a Grand Cherokee going to fast, skidded and smoked another cherokee, the ahole backed up and drove away, real nice. I guess that this was a bit of a rant, but wanted to see if anyone else out there in the JAy regular community has noticed this.
Other than that it was a decent day, no complaints on the skiing. Always would like more snow.
