SKI SEASON ENDS WITH A BANG?????

Instead of writing a report on how great (or bad) skiing was at Tremblant yestarday, I am at home waiting for a call from the insurance company.

Instead of taking a high-speed gondola, I ended up taking a high-speed ambulance.

My skiing season is on hold for now, definately not skiing next weekend, and the planned treak to Sunday River/Tucks the following weekend is all up in the air. We will see how fast I will recover from the whip latch(sp?) and the pain. I have already been to the chiropractor and will return in 2 days.

Left early Sunday morning for Tremblant, stopped at a red light 5 minutes from home, I was rear ended by someone who didn't see the red light and didn't see me!!! The guy didn't even brake. Needless to say that I need to mend and the car needs to be repaired. The bumper and truck are somewhat smashed in. The Thule ski rack and box moved backward by 6 inches due to the impact.

I was lucky, I was alone and my daughters were not with me at the time. Morgane initially wanted to come to Tremblant with me. As I mentioned here before, never take anything for granted in your ski season and in life.
