Patchs?? where are you

The 1029' vertical is from the 2000 White Book, but perhaps they have not updated the information.
The worst part of the drive into Canada is route 27 to Coburn Gore, its like driving on a one lane roller coaster. Getting to Orford took us 3 1/2 hours last January, and that was partly on...

    Patchs?? where are you

Frank, thank you for the information on all those ski areas. I think that we will visit Mt Adstock, as it looks closer to Sugarloaf than Massif Du Sud and the vertical of 1029' is decent. How far we can go depends on the weather and road conditions, as most of the area roads are one lane...

    Patchs?? where are you

According to my brother the conditions were heavy wet snow with 6" new and temperatures around 32F. The Palmer Chair did not operate due to bad weather. The base depth at the lodge was 123"

I was not really sure where exactly to post this, since it is a second hand ski report, but here are pictures from Timberline Lodge. These pictures are from Sunday May 23rd 2004:

<IMG SRC="http://www.firsttracksonline.com/discus2/messages/8/3987.jpg" ALT="Magic Mile Chairlift And Mt...

    Patchs?? where are you

If you go to the following website:

www.maneige.com

This is the Quebec Association Of Ski Areas.
You can find Mt Adstock in the dropdown table, and there is an arial picture of the mountain. I did not see a trail map, but the picture does tell alot about what to expect from...

    Patchs?? where are you

There does not seem to be alot online about Mt Adstock, I am about 99% sure that this is the next
area that I will visit next season in Quebec from Sugarloaf. Mont Gleason also lookes reasonably close to Mount Adstock, but the area is not listed in The White Book, or any other guide that I...

Perhaps the "New And Improved" Saddleback would be of interest, nobody could have that out yet.

    Patchs?? where are you

I would like to add a skie area in Maine, most likely Mt abram, I don't think that I could endure another trip to Big Squaw.

    Killington closing day 5/11/04

My brother just skied Bachelor last saturday, but the weather was so bad the summit express lift did not operate with the alternate snow, sleet and rain. He skied at Timberline on sunday with 6" of new Concrete snow, but again only the Magic Mile was open. When I skied Bachelor on May 16th 1999...

    Patchs?? where are you

It is a funny name, and I was pretty sure that's how it was spelled, but I did not want to risk it.
Hopefully it ski's better than it sounds. Marc is there a resort this would be interesting to report on in the area? Perhaps I will visit Camden Snowbowl again, I was there in February 1998...

    Killington closing day 5/11/04

I agree with you on the long drive from Mt Hood to Batchelor,It took me about 3 1/2 hours. What about Mt Hood Meadows, they now close fairly early also? I remember them skiing into June or even later.

    Patchs?? where are you

Thanks for the reply, I think that we will be visiting Mt Adstock, as it looks to be the closer choice from Sugarloaf. We may also visit Bromont if possible, but I don't think that I could drive past Orford without stopping by again. I would slowly like to visit all of the Canadian/US ski areas...
