Sad to hear about Le Massif. My family should have been a big fat target market for them. We aren't diehards like most on this forum, but for a number of years we did at least one or two ski trips a year with the kids, dropping a good bit of change on each one. Loved the idea of Le Massif...

A poignant reminder for anyone that whines and complains about windholds. There is a reason for them. Thankfully the resort got 51 to 56 cms of snow the day before, and there was no grooming under the lift so there was a relatively soft landing area. The outcome could have been much, much worse.
Then you should get a chuckle from this. Gords in Winnipeg does ski testing and reviews every year. They go east and west, east being Tremblant.

Sounds familiar from daughter's ski lesson days. Been to Edelweiss, Fortune and Cascade this season, and for the pitiful bit of snow Ottawa has had, I give them kudos for keeping reasonable conditions in a tough year.
Food points. Unfortunately, if they had stuck by an SOS they would likely have been spotted. My understanding is that the SOS's were not spotted by potential rescuers,they were spotted by helicopter pilots doing other business. Then the RCMP were not notified until after the second sighting...
