started out at the south peak just to see first hand all the silly hoopla they have been shouting about in regards to the new loon double black diamond trail rip saw- ....the trail does probably have the steepest sustained pitch on the hill....for about 300 feet or so... :D ... ahh...

    sunday river, me, 1-21-09

the reports put the SR corridor getting most of the snow over the weekend....reports of mid 20's and no wind and no pay to ski with the boyne pass made the decision relatively easy.... the good: more variety for sure than loon....decent surfaces for the most part and no wind.. a competition...

i certainly consider your reports legit without question... as i do 95% of the reports on THIS site....that just shows me even more how confusing it gets...i m hearing reports that killington is not good at all...upstate NY based on yours is a lot different than most of VT and NH and ME seem to...

the web site said 21 in the last 48.... it was legit....probably the best non corn snow day at loon ive had in a good 3 years. this is peculiar as loon claims to have broken their all time record for snow last year... if a remember though, quite a few of the events last year came on weekends...

I cant help but think, YOU PEOPLE SHOULD STFU AND BE HAPPY YOU HAVE HILLS LARGER THAN 500 FEET TO SKI/RIDE/SLIDE ON! ](*,) Seriously, we all should be happy we can afford to ski, as there are a LOT of people hurting just to pay bills and food on the table in this country, and in this world...

ironically , loon probably had the best combo of temps and elevation for the day to get a reasonable shot at a decent skiing surface and still have power to spin, outside of the stowe area.. see the report from today....and i don't think it would have been much better to be honest...K had no...
