I bailed on my Waterville plans as it looked like the weather was gonna be crappy and I want to make good use of my spring skiing days left. Heading to Lincoln Friday night....haven't decided where to ski yet. Looks like it's gonna be wet Saturday but better on Sunday.

Why is tree skiing an issue only for ski areas in NYS? Aren't the same inurance companies insuring areas in VT, NH and other states? Why would it only be an insurance issue in NY? I suspect it has more to do with the liability laws of the state affecting how the insurance company views its...

NEK and northern NH are definitely less influenced by "outsiders" than the more accessible areas. Too far from the $$$. Sooner or later the "remote" areas of these two states will change. Waterbury is a nice location.

It's sad that skiers are getting so soft they can't ride a T-bar unless they're "advanced". Even a long, steep T-bar isn't that tough to ride. Sheesh.

I've got a meeting at school for my youngest at 8 AM and plan on taking the rest of the day off and heading to Waterville. The only thing that may stop me is a torrential downpour. Gotta keep an eye on the wx. I don't want to waste a vaca day as I only have few left.
