Reports from the ADKs and all of the Green Mountain spine indicate that this was the best East Coast event of the season.

The tug sees major events most years. That said, they are usually isolated in nature and early in the season. The Tughill snowmachine needs a west/southwest wind off of Lake Ontario.
Royal and Woods Valley are in the southwestern ADKs and benefit from the persistent north/northwest wind we’ve been having off of Lake Ontario. Dry Hill and Snow Ridge are in the Tug Hill.

Hasn't climate change prevented Lake Erie and Ontario from freezing over by January (the way it was decades ago), which means lake-effect events often occur later in the season?
