While details remain thin at this point, Coroner Emil Sante indicates that Norwood, Colo. resident Scott Harlow, whose age was not immediately known, was involved in an unspecified accident just before 4 p.m. Wednesday on the Colorado ski resort’s Pick ‘N Gad run, an intermediate trail off the Village Express chairlift. Telluride Ski Patrol members tried unsuccessfully to resuscitate the victim following the accident.

The incident and the cause of Harlow’s death are still under investigation.

The Telluride Ski and Golf Co. issued a statement on Wednesday expressing that the resort’s management team “express their deepest sympathy and condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.”

Harlow is survived by his son, Tyler.
