Canberra, Australia – In early June Australia’s Perisher ski resort arranged for 10 tons of snow to be delivered the National Zoo & Aquarium in Canberra to be placed in the enclosures of the snow leopards, brown bears and monkeys as a fundraiser for the International Snow Leopard Fund.nIn addition to a snowy home for the animals, the Zoo also created a kid’s snow playground for snowman building and the occasional snowball fight. As part of the fundraiser Deane’s Transit Group promoted three trips to Perisher at a heavily discounted price, with all profits going to the Snow Leopard Fund.

The promotion was very successful and Mick Rowson of Perisher, and Sharnel Hutchinson of Deane’s Transit Group will officially hand over the AUD $5540 donation to Shelley Russell from the Canberra Zoo & Aquarium this Tuesday morning.
