Arapahoe Basin, CO – Last winter was a big snow year in Colorado, and Arapahoe Basin kept its lifts open for skiing and snowboarding until July 4. The same can’t be said for this season’s snowfall and Arapahoe Basin officials indicate that they’ll only go through early June this year.

A-Basin’s current snow pack is a mere 51 inches, less than the resort had on the ground last June.

The announcement was buried in a press release announcing sales of A-Basin’s Spring 3 Pass. June, however, is still a late closing by North American standards and the resort’s beach will surely be filled with barbeques and costumed merriment again this spring.
