Massachusetts Ski Resort Sets One-Day Attendance Record

Hancock, MA – Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort in the Berkshire Mountains of western Massachusetts set a single day skier visit record on Thursday, with 7,874 total visits for the operating day.nRecords were set for both day and night visits on Thursday. This year’s record setting number is 15% greater than the previous record day/night that was set on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010.

The week began with 20 inches of snowfall and the resort’s lodging properties have been fully occupied throughout the week. In the past four days, Jiminy’s SnowSports School has taught 2,242 lessons.

“We are thrilled with way the week has gone. All the fresh snow to start out the week set up great skiing and riding for our guests and people have certainly come out to take advantage of it,” said Resort President & CEO Brian Fairbank.

The holiday week will run through this Sunday, Jan. 2.
