Mt. Hood Meadows Celebrates Oregon Ducks Pride Day Tuesday

Mt. Hood, OR – Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort has declared tomorrow “Oregon Ducks Pride Day” in recognition of the University of Oregon’s monumental football season.

“Their appearance in this first ever College Football National Championship Game is an outstanding accomplishment that should bring pride to all Oregonians,” says resort spokesperson Dave Tragethon. “Regardless of the outcome of Monday’s game, we want to celebrate their season.”

Oregon_Ducks05The lift ticket price for Ducks Fans Tuesday will be determined by the Duck’s offensive output in the National Championship Game. A dollar for every point the Ducks score (offensively, defensively or special teams – yes field goals count) will be subtracted from the normal lift ticket price of $74. To get the special Duck Pride lift ticket price, guests must proudly wear their Oregon Ducks colors, preferably a jersey of a favorite player, but most definitely Oregon Green and Yellow. Meadows will also have some dining and beverage specials in the restaurants to celebrate the Ducks season.

Tragethon acknowledges Ducks Fans could be skiing for free Tuesday, saying, “As prolific as this offense has been, and with the fast-paced tempo dictated by the Ducks, we could easily see them blow up the score board. We hope they score 10 touchdowns and that The Duck has to do over 500 push ups Monday. But regardless of the outcome, we’re very proud of this team and what they’ve accomplished.” Tragethon notes the 59 points Oregon scored against Florida State last week would have resulted in a $15 lift ticket.
