Scottsboro, AL – Alabama may not be the first place that comes to mind to purchase ski and snowboard gear and apparel.
But Scottsboro is home to Unclaimed Baggage Center, a 40,000-square foot clearinghouse for stuff that the airlines could never match with the owner. Combining the deals of Black Friday and the uniqueness that comes from this one-of-a-kind store, Unclaimed Baggage Center will host its 34th annual Winter and Ski Event this Saturday. Shoppers will start to line up at 6 p.m. the night before to make sure they have first look on top winter and ski equipment from brands like North Face, Columbia, REI, Arcteryx, Marmot, Burton, Nordica, K2 and Rossignol.
During this event, Unclaimed Baggage will host contests and special events throughout the day for shoppers. One event will be the 60-second showdown with three guests racing to try on the most ski apparel in a 60-second time period. Staff will also be rolling out racks of unshopped items at 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. so everyone will have a chance to find something special.
